My Big Little Girl

My cute little girl decided that she was tired of the frustration of tangles and wanted shorter hair like Mommy's. Tonight I complied. Look how big my little girl has gotten.

A Vist from "Nana" Claus

Christmas morning was a hit thanks in great part to our family. Nana and Gramma stayed the night Christmas Eve and they were able to be a part of Savannah and Christopher's fun in the morning. As you can see my children didn't lack in the amount of gifts to open. They will be well dressed for a while and they will enjoy playing with awesome toys for ages.

(Mommy and Daddy got some pretty good spoiling too)

Our Latest News

We took our little guy for speech analysis today. He turned two years old on the 17th of November and we have been concerned for some time now that that he doesn't seem to have words. Denise, the speech pathologist at Vanderbilt, played with Christopher, watched him play with different toys, asked us a bunch of questions and used two different diagnostic reviews to get a balanced analysis. The diagnosis is that he has receptive/expressive language disorder and articulation delay/disorder. This just means that his ability to communicate is delayed. His language comprehension is 12-15 months and his language expression is at 6-9 months.

She said that Christopher has good foundation skills for learning and that the goal is to get him to catch up before he starts school and to give him better communication skills before it gets to the point of causing such frustration that he develops behavior issues.

We have great hopes for his ability to learn and would appreciate all the prayers that can be offered for our sweet, happy little man.

Our Princess is Five

Savannah had her first "friends only" party today and it was a princess dress up tea party (okay - apple juice party but it just doesn't sound as cute).

I thought I would share a bit of the day in pictures.

We started the day with the accessories - what is a princess without a tiara and then sparkly fingers were a must.


After we were properly accessorized (including Queens Mommy & CJ)


we proceeded with the tea party complete with finger sandwiches and cookies.


The princesses made their way to the royal kitchen to accessorize their cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles (of course a sample is always required.)



Gift opening, the Tinkerbell movie and sparkly hair were next then of course after all of that we had to have a photo shoot. (Even Queens and Princesses need to be silly sometimes)


It warmed up enough to have a balloon chase where Princess Madison got a head start but the breezy day made all of the princesses balloons dance up to heaven.


Princess Amelia, Princess Andrea, Princess Constance and Princess Madison - It was a perfect girly princess day.
